National Geographic documentary highlights Guatemala’s love for the planet
In 2021, the leading food and beverage company, PepsiCo, launched Planet Love, a docuseries of four episodes produced by National Geographic Creative Works, which sought to encourage Latin American audiences to contribute to improving the planet.
The Planet Love 2022 edition aims to show what a healthy relationship with the world looks like, telling love stories divided into seven mini-documentaries.
Each episode was produced in one of seven countries in the region. Guatemala features in episode six, which premiered on June 6.
“At PepsiCo, we believe that by being better ourselves, we can help build a more sustainable future,” said Luciana Di Paolo, PepsiCo Vice President and General Manager.
Planet Love episodes will be streamed weekly on the Planet Love website, on the National Geographic linear channel, and on the National Geographic Latin America YouTube account.
“Through Planet Love, we are excited to share the stories that have driven this transformation and that motivate us every day to continue strengthening our relationship with the planet,” said Di Paolo.
PepsiCo Positive works under three main pillars, which are: to reduce the amount of plastic used, recycle purchased plastics and reinvent plastic packaging; and thus achieve that 100% of its packaging is recyclable, compostable or biodegradable by the year 2025.
