A new model that links the hotel industry and the promotion of social projects
With the inauguration of Good Hotel in Guatemala City, the Good Hospitality Group corporation hopes to promote social business models, this hotel being the third in its six-year history, thus achieving a profitable and growing social business.
“As part of this vision, we offer to train unemployed people so that they have the possibility to choose to work with us. We want Good Hotel to serve as an example for other companies and to promote social business models globally, as a rule rather than an exception ” said Marten Dresen CEO of Good Hospitality Group.
Good Hotel has a modern and innovative design and is located in zone 4 of Guatemala City. As part of the Good Hospitality Group, 100% of their profits are reinvested in educating children and training locals to offer them jobs in the hospitality industry.
In 2006, Marten Dresen created the Children of Guatemala Foundation, a foundation focused on education in Guatemala, located in Sacatepéquez, which was the impetus for the creation of the first Good Hotel in Antigua Guatemala, this being the main source of income for the Foundation.
