Canadians will continue to taste the delicious and fresh berries of Guatemala 

Guatemalan berries have positioned themselves in international markets thanks to their flavor, color, and freshness, from strawberries, blueberries and blackberries to raspberries.

Accordingly, in order to continue exporting these agricultural products to the Canadian market, officials from the Embassy of Guatemala in Canada, through the Department of Commerce and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food (MAGA), concluded the steps to complete the phytosanitary import requirements before the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) for the admissibility of Guatemalan berries into the country.

Deputy Foreign Minister Shirley Aguilar indicated that this action highlights the importance of continuing to promote Commercial Diplomacy in our diplomatic representations in the world.

Aguilar also highlighted that the Commercial Council in Canada, together with the Guatemalan business sector, will continue with efforts to incorporate new national products in the Canadian market.
