Honorary Doctorate in Organizational Leadership awarded to Juan Francisco Monge Calderón, president of Cervecería Centroamericana
For his work in innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership, the Universidad San Pablo de Guatemala paid tribute to Juan Francisco Monge Calderón, president of Cervecería Centroamericana, for being an outstanding businessman who has achieved high standards of excellence for the social development of Guatemala and the region.
Within the framework of this formal graduation ceremony for professionals in Leadership, Business Sciences, Architecture and Design, as well as Humanities, the title of Doctorate Honoris Causa in Organizational Leadership was awarded to Mr. Juan Francisco Monge Calderón, president of Cervecería Centroamericana on May 21, 2022.
“Annually, during the graduation ceremony, in our house of studies we pay tribute to a leader. In 2022, we have selected Mr. Juan Francisco Monge Calderón, who stands out for his leadership, ethical values and his excellent professional performance. With this act, we want our educational community and the general public to know about and learn from his outstanding career,” said Harold Caballeros, rector, representative and president of the Board of Trustees of the Universidad San Pablo de Guatemala (USPG).
His distinguished work towards innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership make him an outstanding businessman who has achieved high standards of excellence for the social development of Guatemala. In 2017 he was recognized with the Order of the Federation of the Central American Chamber of Commerce, for his contribution to the development of the business sector.
A prominent professional career that began in 1962
This distinguished and renowned executive chairs the board of directors of one of the largest and most important business groups in Central America since 2016: the Castillo Hermanos Corporation. Likewise, he holds the presidency of HC Holding, Grupo Vidriero Centro Americano and INCECA. His professional career began in 1962 and since then he has worked in the fields of marketing, advertising, administration, real estate development and guild participation. Mr. Monge stands out for his leadership, ethical values and his excellent professional performance.
