Guatemalan companies prepare for trade and international fairs

The “Women in Trade for Inclusive and Sustainable Growth” Project executed by the Office of Trade Facilitation, TFO Canada and the AGEXPORT Handmade Commission financed by the Government of Canada through Global Affairs Canada, conducted the webinar: Preparing for a Trade Show for an SME in Home Decor & Fashion Accessories. On July 27, the companies Alisa, Hasta El Cielo Store, Crane, Artexco and Topis Ceramics participated in the training given by the Regional Representative of TFO Canada, Jacques Nadeau, who has focused his career working with the private sector, social enterprises of the furniture, fashion lighting and home decoration sectors.

 The training focused on topics such as how to break even at a trade show, being selective of a collection of products, how to ensure the competitiveness of a collection, how to optimize the presentation of a collection, and how to act at and after the show.

Through this training, it is expected that companies in the handmade sector will be able to do their market research, obtain consumer perspectives and market trends that will facilitate the adaptation of their products in a faster and more efficient manner.
